Policies and Legislation
Unlike many groups that simply talk about change, the New England Conservative Coalition turns principles into action. We have taken policy from paper to reality by actively working with state representatives across the Commonwealth to file, advocate for, and pass meaningful legislation. Our approach is hands-on and results-driven: we identify key issues, craft solutions, and ensure they reach the halls of government.
Through this work, we not only outline what we aim to achieve but also showcase what we have accomplished, proving that conservative values can be advanced through persistent, practical engagement. From supporting legislation that strengthens families and communities to protecting individual freedoms, the NECC is committed to making a real difference in Massachusetts and beyond.
Legislation We Have Drafted
An Act lowering the legal gambling age to 18 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: Bill HD.4388 |
The purpose of this act is to align the legal gambling age with the age of adulthood, granting individuals 18 years of age the same rights and responsibilities as other legal adults in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Additionally, this act aims to increase state revenue by keeping gambling-related spending within Massachusetts, preventing the loss of economic activity to neighboring states such as New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, where individuals under 21 can legally gamble.

An Act to restore the rights of adulthood to all persons achieving the age of adulthood: Bill HD.4390 |
PURPOSE: This act seeks to restore all rights and privileges to adults aged 18 through 20. Our government asks for and demands much from adults. Federal law recognizes 18 years of age as the age of maturation. Upon reaching the age of maturity, 18 year old citizens are granted all rights of adulthood. However, Massachusetts has declared that adulthood is in stages. This bill restores the rights of adulthood upon all persons aged 18 and older. Lower the age of handgun and semiautomatic firearm ownership to 18. SECTION 1.a. Amendment to Firearm Licensing Laws
