NECC Appoints New Vice Chair in Strategic Move to Lead Future Generations

Fall River, MA – July 30, 2025


The New England Conservative Coalition (NECC) announced the appointment of Alia Verissimo-Barbosa as the organization’s new Vice Chair, marking what leadership calls a “crucial move in our mission to lead the future generations.” Barbosa, a respected grassroots organizer and advocate for traditional conservative values, was formally voted in during the committee’s most recent executive session.


“She is a strong and bold conservative, who is very knowledgeable and has immense experience in student recruitment and is a crucial asset to our team,” said NECC Chair Christopher Thibeault in a statement following the vote.


Jason Fratalia, leader of the NECC Faith and Tradition Subcommittee, also praised the appointment. “She is a bright and smart young woman that knows exactly what needs to be done and is a strong leader in her faith, which influences her decisions and leadership. We’re proud to have her stepping into this role,” Fratalia said.


In addition to the leadership change, NECC also revealed plans for its first South Shore chapter meeting, which will coincide with a public forum aimed at amending the organization’s bylaws with state Committeewoman Kayla Churchill will preside as Chapter Representative.


The meeting is expected to take place in the Fall River area, with final details to be announced in the coming weeks.


The Coalition, which operates under one PAC structure (ID #81130) and is organized into eight regional chapters, has been expanding rapidly across Massachusetts. With chapters already established in on the North Shore, and South Shore. With Plans to expand throughout the commonwealth.


Leaders say the upcoming public meeting will offer supporters and members a chance to weigh in on structural changes to the bylaws while also setting a clear path for the Coalition’s chapter-based model.


Barbosa’s also committed on her appointment to the Vice Chair role stating “I’m happy to have a bigger role in this movement and am excited to see what I can do as the Vice Chair”.


Barbosa’s appointment and the South Shore expansion are expected to galvanize further momentum for NECC heading into the fall political season.
