PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT: 'NO KINGS' RIOTS COMING TO THE NORTH SHORE — POTENTIAL TRAFFIC DISRUPTION AND UNREST

NORTH SHORE, MA – The North Shore is on alert as a wave of coordinated demonstrations tied to the radical “No Kings” movement is scheduled to hit several coastal communities on Saturday, June 14. While organizers claim these events are peaceful, similar gatherings in other states have spiraled into blockades, confrontations, and property damage. Despite these risks, state and municipal officials have not issued any public warnings, leaving residents vulnerable to disruptions and unrest.

According to NoKings.org, the events are part of a national “Day of Defiance,” but local preparations indicate more than symbolic protest. The movement encourages direct action to challenge institutions, and although the website says participants are to remain nonviolent and unarmed, the history of this group’s activity nationwide paints a more chaotic picture.

In Swampscott, demonstrators are planning to gather along King’s Beach between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. This heavily trafficked coastal road is a key route for both residents and first responders. While framed as a peaceful roadside demonstration, prior incidents suggest the possibility of pedestrian interference with traffic flow, causing public safety risks.

In Beverly, the action is expected to take place at Odell Veterans Memorial Park from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The park’s central location near key thoroughfares raises concerns about crowd spillover and road obstruction, particularly during peak weekend travel hours.

In Danvers, the group plans to rally on the Route 114 Overpass from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Route 114 is a critical commuter artery that connects Danvers and Peabody. Organizers have dropped a pin directly on the overpass, and while their website does not specify any intent to block traffic, the location alone makes interruption likely.

Salem will see a protest from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Riley Plaza, a central gathering point in the city’s downtown. While the posted intent is to rally peacefully, the area’s tight traffic patterns and high pedestrian presence mean a small demonstration could quickly create major disruptions.

In Marblehead, an event is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the corner of Lafayette and Maple Streets, a busy intersection along Route 114. Even a brief gathering here could impact both local traffic and regional access routes.

The events listed above are only on the North Shore. Additional demonstrations are planned in other parts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Please do not engage with their website or share content directly from it, as this increases their visibility in search results and gives them more traffic.

Though the “No Kings” organizers continue to claim nonviolence, their pattern of mobilizing around high-traffic areas and their aggressive rhetoric present cause for serious concern. Their website reads: “A core principle behind all NO KINGS events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.” However, similar assurances failed to prevent chaos in California and other states during previous demonstrations.

Do not engage. Do not plan counter standouts. Stay inside. STAY SAFE.
